Water analysis and service Accredited laboratory All water analyses are carried out by accredited laboratories.Inspection of the quality of the supply water In order to optimise the functioning of the ICA-system, ATECA has the quality of the supply water inspected prior to installation. This inspection determines the pH balance, conductivity, degree of hardness and chloride content.Analysis of the mains water quality prior to installation One month prior to the installation of the ICA-system, the water quality in the piping network is also analysed. ATECA selects a few tap points for this analysis based on a risk analysis. The analysis concerns the hot water temperature, TVC (22°/37°), copper and silver concentrations and legionella population.Monthly water analysis after installation It is the policy of ATECA to have monthly water analyses carried out during the first year after installation of the ICA-system. The same tap points are always used for these analyses, which provide a good overview of water quality. After the first year, the frequency of the analyses is reduced to once every two months.Service ATECA takes the samples necessary for the water analyses. When we take the samples, we also perform an inspection of the ICA-system. This inspection involves testing the electrical functions and the water meter and a check-up on the condition of the electrodes. A complete report with water analysis certificate is drawn up after each inspection.ATECA watercare and services is the new name of ProEconomy Holland as of October 1st, 2004. This change in name gives expression to a number of new developments, while the organisation of the company remains the same. The new developments have arisen from the needs of ATECA’s clients. First off, we have the technical developments, which are resulting in a higher level of service:The system has been digitalised. It now uses the latest technology, which has simplified control. The keeping and updating of the logbook has been computerised. In addition to this, it is possible to communicate with the ICA-system via GSM modem. Moreover, the system can be connected to the Facility Management Information System so monitoring can be carried out from a single point. Next we have the European development: The piping of the system has been adapted to European regulations. This modification facilitates the installation and maintenance of the system.
